We are currently seeking highly motivated PhD students and research interns to join our group at Oregon State University. Our research focuses on parallel and distributed systems, acceleration technologies, and deep learning infrastructure.

Candidate Qualifications

We welcome candidates who demonstrate the following:

• Programming experience in C/C++ or Python on Linux platforms

Preferred skills in one of the following:

• Background in computer systems or architecture, including CPU, GPUs (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel), and specialized AI accelerators
• Experience with distributed deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms or applications, such as large language models (LLMs) or AI for Science (AI4Science)

Students with strong foundations in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics are especially encouraged to apply.

Funding and Support

All admitted PhD students will be fully supported through research or teaching assistantships, which include:

• Full tuition and fee coverage
• Monthly stipend
• Health insurance
